GETTING straight to work after their successful application for a share of $300,000 in the State Government Stronger Communities Grants, Ashfield Baptist Church was the scene for tradesmen, staff and residents interested to lend a hand. Reverend Danelle McLeay said their $12,000 would be spent on improving the presentation and functionality of the community hall, with improved acoustics and lighting plus the installation of a projector and sound system as well as a new coat of paint. “It’s a great boost to us and will certainly help make our community hall much more user friendly,” she said.
