We all like to think that we have got the answers to life’s issues. We like to pretend that we have it all worked out, that we can make it on our own. Then comes the crash and we find out to our cost that we don’t know anything like what we thought we knew and we fail, dismally. Perhaps for some, the current pandemic crisis is the very situation that is causing to crash and plunge us into doubt, to disbelief, into fear and a feeling that everything we have relied on is broken, perhaps for ever. These words are there to reassure us. We are not alone. We are not lost. There is a way. There is one who does know the answers and who loves us, cares for us, and wants us to follow in His ways, the perfect ways. Today, God invites us to trust His will for our lives, to acknowledge His sovereignty over us and to follow Him. If we do that, His promise is firm and sure, the promise of His direction and guidance every step of the way through whatever life brings us. Will you accept His invitation afresh and take Him at His word for all that is to come?
